It is still too early to tell if these new suits will be better or worse. We have noticed that the suit is thicker and has a heavier feel, but we have not yet seen any issues with this causing slower times. A wet suit does not cause more drag, since all swimsuits will be wet when you dive into the pool. The only difference is the feeling while you stand on the block before the swim. The Speedo Fastskin3 Super Elite suits do fit differently and are sized differently so naturally some swimmers will end up purchasing the incorrect size. This can cauase slower times and additional drag. It is all part of the learning curve with every new technical racing swimsuit. The Speedo LZR Elite suit was a great suit and fit very well. The new Speedo Fastskin3 Super Elite is a much more advanced swimsuit that is not necessarly designed to fit every swimmer.

I have heard some negative comments about the fastskin super elite suit . Some problems reported were increased times and that the suit seems to absorb water. Suits do not dry as quickly which makes the swimmers that the suit causes drag. I have no experience with this information as my daughter has not swum in her suit as of yet. If anyone has any comments on the performance of the suit I would appreciate hearing from you.
