Rescue TubeWhether you’re lifeguarding by the beach, lake, or pool, a rescue tube is an essential item for all lifeguards. There are many different rescue techniques that you can use whether in the water as a floatation device and tow line or out of the water as a throwable floatation device and also as an extension to reach out to your victim. The rescue tubes are also suitable for ice rescue, but no need to worry about that if you are like me and live in Texas.
The rescue tubes are covered with heavy-duty vinyl and made of closed-cell foam, the guard rescue tube does not absorb water, so you don’t have to worry about rotting or mildew.  To extend the life and provide more comfort then you shouldGuard Rescue Tube Cover look into getting a rescue tube cover. The rescue tube cover is used to slide over the rescue tube to protect the tube from the constant usage they go through. It’s also a wise investment to protect your tubes from Guards picking at them or dragging them on the cement. With the guard tube covers you will maximize the life of your rescue tubes. These are highly recommended for all rescue tubes.

Lifeguard Rescue Tube

As many of you might know the most important piece of equipment for lifeguards is the rescue tube. The guard rescue tube is a traditional wraparound tube designed for beach, lake or pool in the water rescues. It can be handed to a victim for a close-in assist, or used to reach a struggling victim without contact, towing a passive unconscious victim, or even supporting the rescuer. The rescue tube will never absorb water, rot or mildew because it is made from closed cell “Ensolite” foam and covered with a heavy-duty red vinyl skin. There is often a safe quick-release buckle and tow line with a looped end that make pulling the victim to safety easy work for the lifeguard. Rescue tubes are available in a couple of different sizes depending on the use. You can find lifeguard rescue tubes and other rescue equipment at D&J Sports Swim Shop.
