Enhancing Team Spirit with Custom Swim Caps, Swimsuits and T-Shirts

Custom team swim gear can help your team feel more team spirit.

When you are part of a swim team, you are proud of that team and want to share with the world that you are a part of that team. In addition, any time you and your team make an appearance together, you can wear swim gear that shows you are part of a team together. Dressing alike in and out of the water provides a uniform look for your team from the swim caps and swimsuits you wear in the water to swim team t-shirts you wear out of the water.

Custom Swim Caps

Swim caps are an important part of any swimmer’s gear. This cap hides the hair on your head and gives you a more streamlined shape so you can cut through the water more cleanly. While you can always choose plain swim caps in the same color for your swim team, creating custom swim caps with your team name, logo or mascot on it will ensure that everyone knows you are on the same team. These caps work well for relays to help keep track of teammates.

Custom Swimsuits

Many swim teams choose swimsuits that match to help them look more uniform. You can purchase any number of swim team suits so you and your teammates are wearing the same thing in the water; however, what better way to create a sense of team spirit than to customize swimsuits with your team logo, mascot or special team colors. When your swimsuits are fully customized, you can show the world you are one united front against the other teams.

Custom T-Shirts

Even when you are out of the water, you may want everyone to know what team you are a part of. Print up enough t-shirts for your entire team, plus parents or spouses, so your team can let everyone know that they are a team, both in and out of the water. These t-shirts can be in the team color with the team name, mascot and logo imprinted on them so there is no mistaking who belongs to which team.

A swim teamisn’t any different than any other type of team in other sports. You want your team to have a uniform look while they are in the water, and it doesn’t hurt to look uniform out of the water as well. Ordering customized swim caps, swimsuits and t-shirts for your entire team imprinted with the team name, mascot or logo will ensure that everyone knows you are a team and work together.

Razor Training Swim Fins Provide Additional Strength Training

Razor Training Swim Fins Provide Additional Strength Training

The Razor training swim fins provide you with the resistance you need to improve your kick.

All swimmers go through a strict training regimen that helps to train the body to be the best swimmer possible. Some of the areas that these training sessions focus on include endurance and strength training. One of the most powerful tools a swimmer has in the water is his ability to kick. Therefore, it is important for a swimmer to focus on that aspect of their training. One tool a swimmer can use for strengthening his legs and getting more power out of his kick is the Razor training swim fins.

The Razor training swim fins are similar to the swim fins worn by scuba divers and snorkelers. However, these fins have a much shorter length and are not meant to help propel you through the water. Instead, these fins are meant to provide additional resistance as you try to propel yourself through the water by kicking your legs. This will force you to kick harder, thus strengthening your legs.

For a swimmer, leg strength is a critical part of being able to swim fast enough to win races. From the second you push off the block and dive into the water until the second you hit the wall at the end of the race, your legs are doing a lot of the work for you. Even though your arms are always in motion as well, the power of your kick can dictate your success or failure. Even kicking off the wall in a turn is important to winning your race.

If you are considering using the Razor training swim fins to train for your swim meets, it is important to know that these fins will provide you with the resistance you need without causing undue strain on your muscles. Because of the comfortable design of the swim fins, you can wear them for long periods of time without hurting your feet.

Being the fastest swimmer in the pool takes practice and training. With the use of swim training tools, such as the Razor training swim fins, you can build up your endurance in the water and strengthen your leg muscles so you can use a more powerful kick when you are racing against other swimmers. The more powerful your legs are, the better chances you have of succeeding in each race you participate in. When you make use of the tools you have available to you, the advantage is yours.

These goggles are available in a variety of colors and are designed to fit smaller, narrower faces with a secure fit, while still providing 25 percent more peripheral vision than the previous design.

Another Speedo option is the soft, flexible Hydrospex 2. This fitness swim goggle is designed to provide the same fit with a frame that will bend and flex to fit different head shapes and sizes. The lenses feature anti-fog and UV protection so you can use these goggles indoors or out.

Aquasphere

Aquasphere also makes a great swim goggle in the Kaiman swim goggle. This unique goggle comes in a range of colors and works well for fitness swimming, especially in open waters. These goggles provide you with a full range of vision, which many other goggles can’t provide. The curved lenses won’t fog up and will help protect your eyes from the dangerous UV rays from the sun.

The Best Swim Goggles for Outdoor Swimming

The Best Swim Goggles for Outdoor Swimming

Mirrored goggles can provide you with greater visibility by reducing the glare during outdoor swimming.

When you are swimming competitively, you need to be able to see clearly so you know where you are in the pool and can keep an eye on where your competition is. When you participate in outdoor swimming this visibility can become difficult, especially on a bright, sunny day. Not only do you have to deal with the light of the sun around you, you need to handle the reflection of the sun off the water. Searching for the best swimming goggle for outside swimming should be one of your top priorities.

Women’s Goggles

While most goggles can be worn by anyone, some women prefer to have a fit that is designed specifically for them. The Speedo Women’s Vanquisher Goggles provide the best women’s mirrored swim goggles available in a wide range of colors. These dark swim goggles are designed to fit a woman’s face, with double straps for a more comfortable fit, UV protection and anti-fog coating so you can swim with confidence that you won’t lose your line of sight.

Speedo Goggles

If you are looking for the best swim goggles for backstroke to block sunlight that shines in your face, Speedo has several options for you, including the Speed Socket Mirror Swim Goggles, Speed Socket Polarized Goggles and Vanquisher 2.0 Plus Goggles. The mirror swim goggles provide you with the advantage of an increased line of sight with a low profile so you experience less resistance. This is the preferred swim goggle of Michael Phelps. The polarized goggles are the first of their kind in the industry. No other goggles previously offered the polarized lenses you often find on sunglasses. These lenses work hard to filter out the light and provide you with the clearest view possible in the brightest sunlight. The Vanquisher 2.0 is an updated version of the older model that provides you with 25 percent more peripheral visibility, a double strap and adjustable ergonomic clip, as well as the same UV protection and anti-fog properties.

TYR Goggles

If metallic goggles are more your style, TYR provides you with the Socket Rocket 2.0 Metallized Swim Goggles that offer Clear Mirror Technology with anti-glare and anti-fog properties so you can swim without worrying about the sun. This coating allows you to use these glasses indoors or out. Another alternative from TYR is the Nest Pro Metallized Goggles. These goggles use a woven frame similar to the way a bird’s nest is created for additional support. These goggles also offer anti-fog and UV protection for optimal outdoor swimming.

About Pull Buoy

About Pull Buoy

Speedo Pull Buoy II Large

A pull buoy is used to help competitive swimmers train. The Speedo pull buoy is placed between the inner thighs and forces a swimmer to use maximum upper body strength to propel themselves through the water. A pull buoy is used by competitive swimmers who are teenagers or older from the amateur to the Olympic level. There are two types of pull buoys. One is a single piece and the other has two pieces, which latch on to the legs. The latter is commonly used for those who are new to using the tool. The slim portion of the pull float goes between the thighs. Two-part pull buoys can be adjusted with the straps, so it fits the swimmer properly. Swimmers should swim with the Speedo pull buoy between the thighs with their ankles crossed. This is difficult to do and adds to the intensity to your training. Even seasoned swimmers will have trouble swimming with a pull buoy, but remember that’s the point of practicing with one. You’re looking to dramatically increase your upper body strength.

The pull buoy will come loose if you do not cross the ankles. It may take time to adjust to swimming this way, but don’t let the strange feeling deter you. Your body may not be used to practicing with so much dependency on the upper body. With regular practice using the pull float, your muscles will adjust accordingly and you’ll find it’s easier to use after repeated use. Start at one end of the pull and secure the pull buoy. Push off from the wall of the pool and keep your ankles crossed tightly to keep the device in place. Toes should stay pointed behind you to keep drag at a minimum. You can use whatever technique you prefer through the upper body. Eventually, the momentum will slow and you will have to use your arms to propel yourself through the water.

It’s important to note that to use a Speedo pull buoy, one should already be a good swimmer. A pull buoy is not a toy. If it is your first time using one and you’re a decent swimmer with no competitive swimming under your belt, you should be sure a lifeguard is on duty while you practice with the pull buoy. It takes time to adjust to the extra weight and the lack of lower body strength. Those who are not good swimmers can easily injure themselves or become overwhelmed in the water using a pull buoy.

Shopping for Swim Parkas

Shopping for Swim Parkas

Shopping for swim parkas can be overwhelming if you aren’t sure what you’re

Shopping for Swim Parkas

looking for. Swim parkas are meant for those swimming in cold temperatures or between competitions to warm the swimmer after he or she is out of the water. Swim parkas are worn immediately after a swimmer gets out of the pool. Swim parkas are functional and designed for warmth. Companies are constantly toying with technology to improve the quality of swim parkas.

1. Make sure the hood is lined. This is the case for most swim parkas, but not all. A lined hood means the swim parka will warm your head as well as your body. Swim parkas are usually lined in a type of fleece. Other fabrics can get wet and soggy if you put them off immediately after a swim. This allows a swimmer to warm up quickly after getting out of the pool. It is also ideal for triathletes who may be swimming outdoors during cold weather.

2. Make sure it’s water resistant. It doesn’t have to be waterproof, but the swim parka should be water resistant. This prevents you from getting wet if you’re near the pool and get splashed by other swimmers. A nylon outer shell is best for a swim parka for any swimmer.

3. Choose a dark color for a logo. If your team is having their logo or name put on the parka, a dark color is a great background for most designs and fonts. This allows you to play with the design that will go on your swim team parka.

4. Make sure the parka isn’t too big. Swim parkas often run big. Compare your measurements to those provided online so you have a parka that isn’t too big to wear when you’re out of the pool. If it’s too big, the vent at back will often let in air which can be uncomfortable when you’re cold and wet.

5. Think about if you really need a swim parka. If you’re cold-natured or want something easy to cover up with after swimming, a swim parka is ideal. This is the case even if you are not swimming outdoors where it can cool down substantially regardless of the season.

Swim parkas are great for those swimming in cold weather conditions, or who want something to cover up with after a swim. Swim parkas are ideal for teams traveling together because everyone has the same jacket in the same color scheme with a logo or team name, allowing you to easily spot teammates in a crowd.

Top Swim Goggles

Top Swim Goggles

The top swim goggles are those that are functional without weighing you down

Top Swim Goggles

during competition. Competitive swimmers know the traits of bad goggles, including loose bands and goggles that don’t sit flush with the skin, allowing water to seep in. The top swim goggles take all of these things into account during the design process, which makes a major difference when a swimmer is competing.

Aqua Sphere Kaiman Goggles – These comfortable goggles are a favorite of competitive swimmers. Aqua Sphere Kaiman Goggles are made of super soft skin that never tugs or feels constricting around the eyes. These goggles also boast a watertight seal that doesn’t allow a drop of water in. This is important for distance swimmers and triathlons. The shape of the frames curve with the contours of the eye area for superior fit.

Swedish Goggles – Swedish Goggles are traditional competitive swimming goggles that have been around for decades. This is a testament to their simple design that has been modernized with the latest materials. These are a fuss-free pair of goggles that aren’t fancy, but have all of the elements of the best swim goggles. Swedish Goggles require assembly to ensure a custom fit for the individual swimmer. For swimmers who feel some of the more upscale swim goggles feel heavy or cover too much of the face, these are a great pick.

Tyr Flex 4.0 Goggles – The Tyr Flex 4.0 Goggles somewhat morph a snorkeling mask and swim goggles. Unlike a snorkeling mask, these goggles don’t cover the nose. They do conceal a large portion of the face, but some swimmers prefer this wide angle view while maintaining separate. It depends on the swimmer and what he or she is most comfortable wearing while in the water. The Tyr Flex 4.0 Goggles are ideal for beginner swimmers and new competitive swimmers. The Tyr Flex 4.0 is available in youth sizes.

Take into account what type of swimming you’ll do with the goggles. Many competitive swimmers have different goggles for practicing and competing. For practice, you want goggles that offer a wide view and smooth bands for a comfortable fit. For competition, many swimmers favor small frames with a wraparound style that completely shuts out water. Young competitive swimmers will benefit from small goggles that create a tight barrier for water and air.

Speedo Fastskin 3

Speedo Fastskin 3

Speedo Fastskin 3 is the revolutionary new collection from Speedo. Speedo is always on the cutting edge of what’s hot and new in technology, fashion and function. Speedo launched Speedo Fastskin 3, which is in compliance with all Speedo Fastskin 3FINA regulations. This is fantastic news for competitive swimmers around the globe. Olympic gold medalist, Michael Phelps has said Speedo Fastskin 3 makes him feel “at one with the water.” If Speedo Fastskin 3 does that for a man who practically lives in the water, imagine what it will do for your own performance.

Speedo Fastskin 3 consists of three products. The Speedo Fastskin 3 swim cap was developed using 3D head scans. This ensures it fits tight without constricting blood flow. It wraps every curve with ease, making it simple for a swimmer to dive right in. The Speedo Fastskin 3 swim cap wraps each contour and ensures a seamless fit with its hydrodynamic results. When worn with the Speedo Fastskin 3 goggles, the swim cap can reduce a swimmer’s full body drag by over 5%. Competitive swimmers know each second matters. The Speedo Fastskin 3 goggles are comfortable and leak resistant. These goggles were designed for minimal movement while swimming. This means a competitive swimmer does not have to worry about goggles slipping or allowing water in while they swim.

Perhaps most impressive is the Speedo Fastskin 3 Super Elite Swimsuit. This swimsuit utilizes technology at its best. High power compression is created with Hydro K-Zone 3D fabric. This fabric moves with the body. Webbing at the framework creates a tight, compressed feeling that allows swimmers to feel minimal weight as they make their way through the water. Speedo has utilized an outstanding team of researchers, scientists and coaches when developing the Fastskin 3 collection. When worn all together, swimmers can expect increased performance due to the technology that inhabits each product.

Speedo also consulted sports psychologists when creating Fastskin 3. The grey-blue tint of the goggles ensures a calm and focused approach to any swim meet. Speedo continues to push the envelope when it comes to competitive swimwear. Speedo has become the name you can trust when purchasing practice gear and competitive swim items. The Speedo name ensures durability and the brand is constantly experimenting with the latest technology to bring swimmers that take the market by storm. By paying careful attention to small details, Speedo has propelled swimmers to a new place with the Speedo Fastskin 3 collection.

Speedo Mirror Goggles for Outdoor Swimming

Speedo Mirror Goggles for Outdoor Swimming

Summer is here and outdoor swimming is going on everywhere. USA Swimming teams and summer league swim teams are now practicing and competing outdoors. This only means one thing…the sun. Yes the sun will be giving us all that great tan we like and making it really hard to see. This is unless you have some good mirror swim goggles. Metallic goggles are like sun glasses for swimmers and allow us to see when we are swimming, especially during the backstroke.

Back in the old days when I was a kid and the best solution was a smoke goggle and a squint of the eye, in order to avoid hitting the wall with my head. Now a days you can most likely find the same goggle you are using with a metallic lens. If you are not sure of some great metallic goggle I do have some suggestions.
